GENEVA WASHINGTON

Geneva Washington currently serves as the Director of Finance Engagement for the Conservative Climate Foundation. She is tasked with overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting, and managing budgeting and forecasting processes. Her role involves strategic financial planning, analyzing financial data to guide decision-making, and overseeing financial risk management. ​​

 

Geneva specializes in serving non-profits with over a decade of accounting expertise. Geneva’s experience includes comprehensive financial statement preparation, meticulous financial analysis, and accurate reporting.

With a robust background in both public and private accounting sectors, Geneva excels in delivering a breadth of accounting and controllership services. These include preparation and coordination for audits, effective implementation of accounting and CRM softwares, and proficient budgeting.

She leads accounting teams efficiently, transforming underperforming finance departments through rigorous account research and cleanup. Furthermore, Geneva has developed thorough month-end closing procedures, ensuring accurate and timely schedule reconciliations. Her expertise also includes managing high-value accounts, highlighted by her oversight of a client’s $28 million budget.​

 

Geneva holds a B.S. in Business Marketing from Virginia State University and has attained both a Master of Finance and a Master of Project Management from Kaplan University.
