5th Annual Communicators' Retreat
Thank you to everyone who attended CCF’s 5th Annual Communicators’ Retreat in Easton, MD! It was a great opportunity for Capitol Hill communicators and industry partners to come together and discuss the hottest topics in climate and clean energy.
CCF aims to arm communicators with the tools they need to effectively message climate and clean energy priorities while maintaining an authentically conservative voice. We do this by providing educational panels that feature experts in the field, presentations that highlight the latest emerging technologies, professional development opportunities, and a firsthand look at local conservation efforts underway across the United States.
Highlights of this year’s retreat included panels on communicating renewable energy in the Trump Administration, effectively messaging data centers to local communities, pathways for communicators after Capitol Hill, and bringing American solutions to the world at international climate conferences like COP. We also hosted presentations on emerging technologies like fusion energy and next-gen geothermal, AI best practices for communicators, and climate polling and message testing with conservative audiences.
Former Congressman Garret Graves joined us to highlight conservative climate priorities, including the advancement of clean and carbon-free energy technologies, meeting demand for data centers and AI, and lowering global emissions through American innovation.
Finally, we conducted a tour of local conservation, restoration, and agriculture initiatives in the Chesapeake Bay with our friends at ShoreRivers. We got to see their work firsthand and learn how they collaborate with farmers, neighbors, and stakeholders to protect the environment and deliver results to local communities.
As communicators, we understand that the way we talk about climate and clean energy matters, especially with conservative audiences. CCF will continue to work with our friends on Capitol Hill, industry partners, private sector companies, and other stakeholders across the country to support clear, effective communication of our conservative climate priorities. We look forward to the next Communicators’ Retreat!
